Creating 4D Content for Future Internet

In this talk, we discuss modern tools for creating 4D content and mixed-reality systems for future internet. First, we present the main features of the 4D studio at MTA SZTAKI. The studio is capable of building dynamic 3D models of humans in real-time and, in higher quality, off-line. In the real-time mode, the system can transmit a model to a mobile device which can visualise the model as mixed reality in the environment viewed by the device. In the off-line mode, one can exploit motion coherence to enhance motion smoothness, topology handling, and texturing. Second, we present the main results of the Integral 4D project aimed at building models of large outdoor scenes from LIDAR data and populating the scene models by moving characters created in the 4D studio. The talk will be illustrated by videos showing operation on real data.
